B & O ordered F15 gets free earphones!!!

I found out that owners that ordered any 2014 BMW with B&O system gets a free pair of earphones.

"New 2014 vehicles purchased with a Bang & Olufsen Sound System also include a voucher for a free set of Bang & Olufsen earphones ($165 value)."

I found this on the "My BMW" section of BMW website....under "Benefits."

I'm sure a lot of you might say, "after paying $4500, $165 is chump change"....which might be true. But still, it's a nice gesture.

And how is one supposed to receive these free headphones? I just picked up my '14 550xi with B&O and didn't receive headphone, a coupon, etc. I got nothing!

I believe the BMW website says you get a voucher....from the dealer? B&O? Don't know. But I'd ask the dealer first. If they don't know, move onto BMWFS, then B&O. Best of luck. Once you get it, let us know how you got it and how they sound.

Did you sign in? You must have a registered BMW account and sign into the website to have access. I can't link it because it'll just take you to the sign in page before allowing you access to the linked page.

Don't get too excited about these headphones. I regret having actually paid to buy a pair of them a few years ago. They were very uncomfortable, not especially great sounding, and they broke after a few weeks of very mild wear. This is the bottom end of the B&O lineup of headphones, and it's not much of a "gift with purchase" to get them with such a ludicrously high priced in car system.

Hey- please don't misread me as a hater. I love the new X5 and am in the midst of planning my order for the 35d.

But I do hate those B&O headphones and just wanted to give people a heads up to not expect too much from them.

First of all, welcome to the site...especially a fellow Californian.

I know you weren't giving crap on the X5. I know it was directed towards the earphones. In saying that, I think it's safe to say most people on this site are well educated and wouldn't expect B&O to give out one of their best products for free. Of course it would be their cheapest (and most likely worst performing) product. I don't think any of us who ordered a B&O system expecting anything. So it was the gesture we're surprised at. And who doesn't like free things....regardless of how crappy it might be.

Update .... I looked in the glovebox ... inside the manuals was a B&O demonstration CD with voucher inside. If your CA didn't provide yours to you ... it may be here.

Just picked up X5 50i with B&O - looked through glovebox and manuals but no B&O demonstration CD or earphones voucher. PCD rep told me to speak to CA - CA before I left referred me to PCD.

can you provide a photo so I can get the voucher tracked down - and also would like to sample the CD.

I have my voucher. But the URL redirects to a basic BO website. There is no place to enter the voucher code.

Anyone have more info, or a better link?
