How do I remove glue residue from ship padding?
I noticed today while waxing my brand new e90 that the dealer left a fair amount of glue residue on the front doors where that strip of white foam padding is stuck during shipping.
Any advice on how to remove this myself, without harming the finish? Dealer is 2 hours away! Thanks! |

Yes, Goo Gone is great. If you don't have that, try lighter fluid (don't light it). 3M also makes adhesive remover that can be used on paint. You might be able to find it at your local hardware store, but I don't know exactly where you live (other than "in your car").

Try bug and tar remover or clay bar.
