Not sure if this is a repost or not (frankly, I didn't look) but I ran across this video series on the 3 series production. Pretty neat stuff. It's creepy how human the paint robots are in the first clip.

Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
I believe I read a article about the car industry nowadays that said that humans only touch about 25% of a car with the exception of the high end models such as rolls royce, lambos, etc. Most of the work is done by machine.

For BMW's flagship model, you need automation to keep up with demand. It would be amazing to say that you owned a hand-built car though. the e34 M5 was the last of that kind. I've got an e34, but it ain't no M5 haha
