Please Help

Just got off the phone with my ca. My car was negotiated for 2k over invoice which comes out too 50935. 3 yr 12k mile lease. If i put down $2300 which is all the fees the payment is $830 if i put down that $2300 and my taxes of $2200 which is a total of $4500 the payment is $750. Does this all sound right. Car is a e92335i so the MF is .00235 and residual i forgot but i think like 58% or 68% somehting to that effect. Any input is welcome thank you.

it sounds about right, just keep in mind if you plan on rolling in fees into the pymt, those fees will be amortized and you will be paying interest on them, instead of just paying it off upfront with no interest involved. i say just go for the 750 pymt or try for less if you can, I see you got the whole deal in your car. be sure to post pics when you finally get it.

I mean i love the sound of 750 a month but i never put down this much on a lease and was always told not too. I put down 2k on my acura i put down 1600 on my lexus. Im going to try and talk them down to say 2500 down 800 flat or 3500 down 750-760. because 2k over invoice offers me some wiggle room dont you think. Please give me some input of what i should do because 4500 on a lease seems a little high.

Your money down or cap reduction would've ultimately been your payment anyway. It boils down to your monthly payment comfort level.

Let's say you're fixed at agreed value an you already have the mf and residual set, so the only other wiggle room is in your wallet with either cap reduction down or shedding some options.

Sure, you put 2k on the acura and 1600 on the lex, but you had to come out of pocket for some maintenance expense and those cars have lower retail values, so it's apples and oranges, imo. Plus, you're basing your past lease experiences when prices were lower and more than likely, lease charges were lower as well.

If you don't feel comfortable putting money down, then use MSD's and get your money back at the end. It won't buy down the payment as much, but at least you'll get a theoretical return by lowering the mf.

i agree, for some reason these cars are VERY HOT right now, and they have been for a while so the "wiggle room" is limited unfortunately. Either way youre paying the fees, but by rolling it in youre paying interest on it. I would say just go for the 750 pymt. I for one am not in favor of paying interest and that is why im paying my fees upfront (taxes, 1st, reg, dlr fees, sec dep. bank) everything is about 3200. its alot, especially for a 328 but i would rather have a lower mthly pymt.

Boy do the dealers LOVE to remind of you that when you're trying to negotiate.
