BMW Christmas Shutdown?
1. Anyone know if and when BMW shuts down production for Christmas? I ordered a Mystic Blue 330i a couple of weeks ago, and the 800 number still says scheduled for production with no known completion date? My guess is if they don't get started next week, it won't be produced until after the first of the year.
2. Anyone else having trouble loggining into the OC the last few days? I have been getting errors saying that my username and/or password are wrong, but I know that they aren't. Thanks |

I asked a sales rep at Bimmerfest this question via PM as I had heard from my local BMW dealer that no E90s would be produced in the month of December. He replied that it was indeed true and then later posted a thread about it.
I understand there's a rumor going around about there being no E90 production for December. Well, there's only going to be one week of production at the beginning of the month. So it will be a very limited December production. There is a larger than normal November production that should keep inventories in line through December, but if you're looking to do an order, please do so as soon as possible because otherwise you'll have to wait for January production and thus delay your E90 delivery. Hope this helps. |

December Production
For what it's worth. I placed my order on 12/1. The OC wasn't working so I called the 800 # and was told that it had already gone into production on 12/5. I asked her about a holiday recess. I was told that production continues throughout the holidays. Who knows if it's true or not. Quite possibly I just caught the last production if SCA is right.....

Yesterday was supposed to be the last day of production for the Munich factory which produces most of the e90's.

Two separate dealers in VA have told me that e90s stop production from 12/23 - 1/9.

Does that mean that they are arriving at the dealership in week 52 or going into production on week 52?

I wish dealers had a clue. I'm ordering my 325 tomorrow and they told me an extra two weeks because Munich production is shut down from 12/23 to 1/9. I'm assuming there are no other production facilities for the 325i? Or are there?
