2008 328i coupe lease 3yrs/10k. $518 monthly, 3480 due upfront.

I have searched in many forums and have also posted in many threads but to no avail. Im having second opinions on my deal. My CA and I waited for the last minute to discuss payments due to rates.

My ordered car is a 2008 328i 6MT AW/coral red. with ZPP and CA.
3yrs/10k a year
518 monthly payment and 3480 plus plates due upfront

I dont feel as if im getting a fair deal. He says he cant do anything about the MACO fee:300 and Training fee: 180.
MSRP is 39825
cap cost is 38745

if there are any people here that agree with me, especially if youre in the NY area, please give me your input.
should i just walk out and get my 1000 deposit back and go find another deal? please help me, any input is appreciated.

What is your residual and money factor? You should be able to get a decent amound off of MSRP for a 328 so don't be affraid to shop around!!

I say walk out. I paid around the same here in So Cal but for a 335i with a $600 a month payment. I'm sure you can find a much better deal.

residual is 61% and money factor is .00190.

thank you for your opinion guys, basically the only good thing about this dealer is how close the service area is to my house and that the CA is a friend off my sales manager. i have been really bummed out about this all day since im supposed to pick up this week after waiting since AUGUST!!!.

I will give him a call tomorrow telling him he either drops the MACO and training fee which will drop my pymt a good 10 bucks or the deal is off and ill be in for my 1000 deposit refund.

and to the guy who got 600 a month pymt on the 335, great deal, youre one of the reasons why i just cant justify that much for a 328. i simply think its too much. lets see what he says when he hears the deal is off if he doesnt take off the 480 extra charge.

i forgot to add that this is BAYSIDE / DOUGLASTON BMW in NYC!!.

Even if your dealer eats the fees, I still don't think it's a good deal. I have to agree with abmw and xzlnt that you may be able to find a better deal than $1000 off MSRP for a 328. FYI, dealer invoice for your 328 with options is $36665. Getting an extra $500 off can save you almost $20/mo, if you really wanna knock your payment down.

Also, are you putting anything down? You say $3480 is due upfront, which I'm assuming this includes the $480 in fees, and your first monthly payment and security deposit, which leaves over $1900 left. When leasing, you generally don't want to put any cash down because this money is lost in the event the car is totaled etc. Your monthly payments will be higher as a result, but you can use that saved money toward those payments. You can also put it in a high yield account, or even spend it on mods!

Either way you go, I hope it goes well, and I'm sure you'll love your new BMW!

Best of luck to you.

Wow man, you really waited too long to discuss the important factor. I say you walk out and get a much better deal else where as i suggested before. I got 1K over invoice back durning the pre-orders on the 08's. So u can deff do better.
Like I said, let me know if it doesnt go through. Ill shoot an e-mail to my CA and ill have him contact you asap.

Good luck with everything, and please dont rush this or settle for this deal once you see the car due to being anxious, because you will regret it.
I think I can speak for everyone here by saying you will be much more pleased if you wait it out and get the car you want with the deal you want.

I also ordered a 328i from Bayside BMW, but it's an e93 with nav and ca, 740/month with no upfront. (except for the usual first month, taxes, etc). 3 year, 12,000 mile lease.

I'd say you got a pretty bad deal.

ok so far i have called a few guys around the NY area.
Rallye was able to get me 1100 over invoice for the same car.

508 monthly payment. 3yr/10k and in total with reg fees 3400 out of pocket which includes(taxes, sec dep, bank fee, reg fee and 1st pymt.)

obviously a much better deal, and basically what i was looking to pay. also by far A MUCHH MUCH better dealership to deal with. i will definitely keep you guys posted by the end of the day to see what happens.

thanks for the help guys, if you ever need any help with your Hondas let me know. Im over at PS HONDA in Manhasset, NY.

what do your colleagues say about your purchase?

(to be honest I have no clue how good/bad my deal is, I'm just a sucker for hard-top convertibles)

btw, what CA did you work with at Bayside?

lol well most of my colleagues are older guys who could care less about cars except for a few who have some nice ones, like 07 LEXUS GS fully loaded, Jeep SRT Hemi(SERIOUS BUSINESS ),and another guy with a turboed integra pushing 700hp . They all tell me not to blw that much $ on a car and to get a civic si but in all seriousness the fees are something that my manager said i could definitely negotiate. so far the 508 from rallye has been the best price around. i left a voicemail on my CAs phone. no answer yet If he matches rallye then ill refer people over to him, if not hes done

"Queens Kid"...

im from QU too... I too was dealing with Bayside BMW.
Speaking w/ Mitch Klein. He was offering a $564 payment on a 328i coupe w/ navi, pwr seats, leatherette + metallic paint.

Needless to say, I told him to go bang his mother out. I went to Habberstad BMW and dealth w/ Nicole Battista.
Much better service and I placed the order last monday.
Payment's much better and very little BS

I was going to order an XI and she advised me that it would be a waste of money just to have it in NY.

By the way, you can buy the car in one place and have it serviced ANYWHERE!!!

That sounds pretty high with that amount of money down.........My dad just picked up his 335 (granted it's a sedan and the residual is higher) but with zero down and a higher MSRP his payment with tax is 560.

ok so i was able to get 1100 over, at 508. i went with this because really my time is more important than $. It costs me so much more having to drive all the way to Rallye for stuff when i could just drive 5- 7 minutes to Bayside. i know if i went out east to hassel, habberstad etc i could get 700-1000 over invoice.i appreciate your help guys, seeing these posts really helped me see whats out there. next time ill negotiate before ordering.

PICKING UP THE CAR FRIDAY NIGHT OR SATURDAY MORNING!!!! in the end thats all that matters.
