Thoughts on new M4 specs.
I have been looking at possibly new ride soon. Problem is am not stoked at all by the new F3X model cars. Not that good looking IMO. Ugly drooping nose et al, and nothing to justify moving from my tuned car to these. Then M4 specs come out and somehow I think the car might not be that much faster than my tuned car either if it is in fact faster. I know its not all about speed, but that nose bothers me. I find myself thinking maybe 2014 Range Rover Sport Supercharged or wait get used latest gen M6. What you guys thoughts on the new M4 coming from a tuned Stage 3 FBO 335

Am not looking to go much past $60K before taxes. Hopefully less than $65K out the door. That's my limit beyond that am gonna either get a Range Rover or used Porsche. Yeah I think having a tuned 335 really changes your expectations of what car is good enough for your tastes.

IMO Audi is overpriced for what you get. I know so is Porsche, but atleast Porsche is an icon, Audi is not really upto BMW. Equal at best but honestly I wouldn't like to pay Audi type prices even for BMW.

Honestly if I were to get rid of my n54 id probably try to find a babied n54 with really really low mileage. I can't see myself in anything else right now until the GTR drops in price.

Bang for your buck performance would be the american cars, example: Vette, 5.0 and etc if that's all you're looking for. But honestly i dont think the M4 will be that fast (probably not much better than 12.4s 1/4mil runs, it has to be slower than the m5 on the straights), but I think at that weight it'll be a great handling\track car, maybe one of the best handling M3s of all time.

well, if u ok with cla45 amg look then $58k-ish 355hp awd Turbo 4 as motortrend latest video has it. Bi would prolly go w the heavy s5 or Vette tho.

Its not just the cost of a GTR that pinches your pocket its the dang parts and labor.
Other than suspension, if the new M4 doesn't make significant gains from where I am at now, then more likely I will roll on over to Porsche. At least over there I wont hear people b*tch about price |

You can buy a used 335 drop all the mods you need to make it put down 600 whp all day long and still have money left to take the wife on an all inclusive vacation south of the boarder for a month.

I'd wait a year before picking up the M4, let prices come down and the aftermarket support to grow. If you get one right away you'll probably pay higher than retail and there won't be any good tunes yet.
