Are you getting LED lights?

Is there a significant difference with the xenon?Any drawbacks?

These are LEDS 100%. With Xenon, only the ring surround is LED.
Costly package. I am just sticking with Xenon.

I looked over the ordering sheet of my father's new F15 and saw he purchased the ZH1 (High Executive) package which includes a ton of options including adaptive LED headlights and LED fog lights. The ZH1 package costs 9,995 Euros.

I have LED lights on my '14 M5 and really like them. Very white and very bright. The auto dim function, which I did not expect to be worth anything, works like MAGIC!

I also have them on order for my Wife's '14 X5. I hope to get a VIN # for her vehicle this Saturday.

I think the LED lights package also gives it the eyelid LED turn signals which look quite nice.

No. The LED light spectrum is supposed to be more benign than the Xenons on oncoming driver's eyes.

LED technology.

The application of LED technology in rear lights saves energy and makes your BMW safer. For example, brake lights are activated faster so drivers behind have more time to react.

Light emitting diodes (LED) use up to 50% less electricity than conventional incandescent lamps and have a far greater service life. When LEDs reach the end of their service life, they do not fail immediately, as conventional light bulbs do, but instead gradually lose intensity.

Another compelling reason for using LED technology in brake lights is their faster reaction times compared to conventional lamps. They instantly convert an electrical signal into light and are perceived faster. In modern BMW LED headlights (as used in the BMW 6 Series Coupé) the LEDs ensure optimal illumination of the road whether using low or high beams: the light they produce is very similar to sunlight and especially gentle to the eyes. Depending on the model light-emitting diodes can also be used in daytime running lights, brake lights, indicator lights and end lights.

Particularly in daylight, the use of LEDs ensures good visibility for a fraction of the output of the entire lighting system. LEDs ensure optimum lighting conditions making it easy to read books, files, etc.

I have already driven at least ten hours in Nevada DARK Interstate 15 without nary one "light flash" from on coming traffic. These are great lights and WELL thought out. NO problem with on coming traffic when you lights are dimmed of course.

Does anyone know if the new interior LED Ambiance lights are part of the Lighting Package or not ? Everywhere the lighting package only mentions the exterior lights. are the multicolored internal ambiance lights standard ?

Ordering lighting package on my 2014 X5. Saw the car with that package in the dealer and it looks amazing. Well worth in my opinion.

Just ordered my X5 today with them, the Corona rings just have so much more detail and really enhance the look of any BMW. IMO

rLemek - the corona rings are standard, they were in the older x5 as well, the LED lights package is the LED bulbs.

The coronas on the LED are different though. I like the squared off look on the LEDs.

I think this is going to be the new corona designs for all the line up....or at least I hope. If so, we have the first ones!

I have a '14 M5 with LED lights and I like them so well I ordered them on my Wife's '14 X5 50i!

NO flashing, not once from other drivers when the beams are on low! And I'm doing a lot of driving in VERY DARK Nevada desert!

Hope this helps.
