F80/F82 Weight by standard.
A lot of confusion around the weight numbers. BMW is not misleading, they use the EU Kerbweight standard and also stated an ~80kg weight loss from the E92 M3.
What has been misleading is the myriad of translations to US curb weight and all confusion with what the standards includes. Here is a list of the side by side weight F82/E92 using the 80kg/176lbs difference as formula. US curb weight: 3528 / 3704 lbs ( 1600 / 1680 kg ) EU DIN Unladen: 1575 / 1655 kg ( 3472 / 3648 lbs ) EU Kerbweight: 1505 / 1585 kg ( 3317 / 3494 lbs ) I hope this can help when you compare weight and power to weight ratio with other cars. Just be sure you use the same standard. ( When you see lower US curb weight number for the E92 it's mags or people having put the car on scale without a driver and with equipment/fluid differences ) |

Unladen means unloaded so for the F82 it should be
EU DIN Unladen:1500kg/3306lbs EU Kerbweight:1575kg/3472lbs EU DIN Unladen=all fluids and 90% fuel EU Kerbweight=all fluids and 90% fuel + included 68kg driver and 7kg cargo |
