Sport Display for F30 w/out nav?
I always thought the sport display was really cool and don't understand why it's not available for cars without nav. Do they add anything to the car so it can produce the display numbers or could you just program the idrive to show it? It's not a big deal but just wondering...

I have no Navi and did code the sport displays to appear when going into to sport mode (or via menu).
BUT: Nothing moves! You get a complete static view, neither needles on the gauges nor the numbers show anything If anyone knows how to fix that... |

We've tried lots of things to get this to work, but we have not been successful.
As was indicated, you can enable the screen via coding, but there's no data shown, it's just a static template screen. We think it has something to do with the CIC (navigation) hardware providing the data path from the DME to the display. No CIC, no data. Sorry... |
