DP + resonator delete

Has any one tried a resonator delete, using a catless DP, and the stock muffler?!
I'm thinking about it, since the DP + cat back is too loud for my taste.

Adding the dp and keeping everything else stock will give you a bit extra volume and grunt. From there, if you remove the resonator, all you will be doing is adding drone at cruising speeds...

I already have the DP. I wanted to know if there is a way to have a little bit more grunt, without changing the muffler. I did this change and with the DP was too loud for my taste.

do you have a video of how it sounds with just the DP?
i want to do it but i want to hear how it sounds on stock exhaust

I don't have a video, but you can find some videos in youtube!
The sound is definetely louder, I just wanted the burps when upshifting to be more present

Well, I did the resonator delete today.
Now I'm running the car with everything free untill the OEM muffler. The burps are now more present, but it's not what I want....
No drone at all, the engine sound is almost the same, only the upshifts that has more burps (not much).
Next week I will try something different. Will put a resonator where the OEM was, then will split the pipes and put another two resonators in each one, then go for the tips.

So you'll end up having 3 resonators and no muffler correct? That will be loud

So you'll end up having 3 resonators and no muffler correct? That will be loud

No, I ended up openning the stock muffler and took off all the fiber glass material that was inside. Now it's awesome! I have no drone, the sound is great for cruising, not even close to loud, and when you step on it, the sound is perfect and the burps on upshifting and when you take your foot off are impressive! If I have to describe the sound when upshifting (please don't laugh) it is not like POW, it's more in the PRRÁÁ area, LOL....

Hi Marco, I always go to GIBA, but I guess any muffler shop can do it. It's a simple job of cut and weld.

No gains, resonator is just a perforated tube from the inside to break sound waves. It doesn't limit the air flow, so no power gains.
