Dreaded Red Boost Hose Leak/Seat Issue
Hello guys,
Recently purchased a 335d after upgrading from a 118d (had to wait till I turned 21 for insurance ) Noticed this morning that there was a small pool of oil on the slabs (under trays been removed) On closer inspection looks like its dripping from the red boost hose. I've looked through all the paper work, and as far as I can see the breathers not been replaced (56 plate) Is it worth while replacing the breather first to see of this rectifies the problem or should I just do the boost hose at the same time?? I've also noticed that the passenger seat when moving forward, is only moving on the left hand side (causing it to move at an angle). I've checked the rail and there's nothing blocking it. Any ideas what it could be?? Cheers Matthew |

red boost pipe has been documented in the past - in breif yes it helps to change the breather pipe even if you have later vortex type(which is "lifetime) as this helps engine breathe. first port of call is to change the seals on the boost pipe, about £9 each and will reuqire 2. if that doesnt solve it then change the pipe (but is £££)
not sure about the seat |
