My girlfriend opened my car door when I had my AC on and I almost had a heart attack

SO MANY DIFFERENT NOISES GOING ON! There was the ticking of the injectors (even though I thought it got better when it was hot outside), a rattling coming from the AC compressor bearing, a humming noise of another sort. .

nope, I have a 3rd party warranty I don't feel like using..

Lol thats an awesome picture. My car is loud as crap from outside with AC on...I think the blower fan could be on the way out. No rattles, just alot of noise.

Injector tick is just the way its gunna be on a DI motor. I run sans cowl, so I really hear it.

People complain about these cars being loud. My car has 100k on it and it doesn't seem loud to me at all. If you want a quiet car go buy a Prius

Loudness I can deal with, but if something is off I'd rather get it taken care of..

No I completely understand that might be time to use the 3rd party warranty a/c work can get expensive really quick

My N54 is loud as well, especially when I have the AC blasted on a hot day. I believe the ticking is normal because I've taken it in to the dealer and mechanics and they haven't said anything yet. Maybe I should ask about it next time.

the noises sound pretty normal the fan whenever the A/C is on seems to be maxed out and just creates a lot of noise I wouldn't stress to hard however if there is an abnormal noise coming from the compressor it's self that may be worth looking into. I suggest finding one at a local dealer test driving and turning on the A/C cheap way to diagnose if something is wrong at no expense to you

its been 100+ where im at and i had my AC on MAX and got outside my car and it sounded like a jet taking off lol. fans are crazy loud. no issues with ac or anything. it works great.

I dunno, when it is warm out and my AC is on, the rad fan is very loud. so loud that I can't hear the ticking or anything else. If you compressor is making a rattling noise, I don't think that is normal. Especially a rattling noise you can hear over the rad fan...
