Help! Is this wastegate rattle? Video 2nd page

When I accelerate slowly through 2K-3K I hear a noise coming the front of my car almost like a sprinkler... is this a wastegate rattle?

I bought the car from a Nissan dealer 2 months ago with 29K miles...

Any help would be much appreciated!

My waste gates started rattling on my turbos at 19,000 miles. Had them replaced at the dealer under warranty, no issues until I went ISO with the JB4 but that has since been taken care of.

They don't replace all the lines, only the ones going to the wastegates.

How would one get the dealership to look at this? Would I have to pay? I bought the car at a Nissan dealer.

there is an extended warranty on your turbos for 8 yrs or 82k miles. whichever comes first. Look around on the forum and you will find the warranty. They will replace your turbos for free.

Actually....just click this link. your welcome.

What do you mean? The lines can decay and break over time.

They can adjust the waste gate or replace turbos, there was a service bulletin on it, the BMW approval just got removed so now they can replace turbos at technicians choice

Seems more like it's one or both of your wastegate actuators.

Can I just bring the car to BMW? Where is the information on the turbo charger warranty? Will an FMIC and intake void my warranty? I just bought them but, haven't installed them.

What does one say when they bring their car to BMW? Do I just show them the service bulletin? Are you charged for the diagnosis?

I had that rattle. It only happened when the motor was cold and at low RPM, after the car warmed up, it went away. Yes, that's the turbo waste gate issue.

Over the river and through the woods, to the dealership you.
They know they way to fix your sleigh, but costs you lots of dough.

All the best.

Edit:
It may be worth noting that the fix for the wastegate issue can precipitate a new problem which is one where the seals that were on the turbos (somewhere) stop working as they should and then they need to be replaced. That's the thing that costs more for I believe the wastegate issue is covered under warranty for some extended period, although I'm not totally sure of this. I know the HPFP is covered for something like 10 years.

Once I had the fix performed, it stopped rattling.

I don't think rattles in a motor are the way things should be at all, although I do think on the 335i that it's common.
