car lost all power today
hello, so i turned my car on today backed out of my driveway and all of a sudden the rpm needle went crazy and the car turned off. i scanned it and got this code
2D2E 2D2E Angle of throttle valve - intake pipe underpressure, correlation Error will cause a warning light Error is currently present Test conditions have not been completed Short circuit or signal interruption other people have gotten it and told to delete it, its just a tuner code. but no one has said their cars shut off because of this code. does anyone know what this can be?

Your throttle body is starting to die, I would try re-setting the throttle adaptation to see if it returns. When mine started dying this would happen once every few months, then eventually it happened all the time over the course of a year or so. Eventually I had to replace my throttle body. It's about $350 from the dealer and a SUPER EASY DIY.

Question to you: Are you spraying meth? 2 of my friends mkIV big turbo jetta, and an S4 both lost their throttle bodies from extended use of meth. Has anyone trended this yet?

no meth. just jb3 and DCI. would the dealer try and blame this on the DCI?

Just take out the DCI's to save you the hassle, it's super easy to install the stock airbox.

if i still had it I would lol. I have been to the dealer many times with the DCI and they have never said anything. I just dont know if this throttle body is in any way connected to having an intake. usually when i go to the dealer and i have the DCI in it is for stuff that I know is not related to the DCI. this, i dont know. thanks

They shouldn't but some dealers are a pain in the ass. I would make it stock again, since your looking for a new throttle body the dealer might make up some nonsense about how your intake was changed and affected the throttle body, blah, blah, blah.
Just to be cautious, take out your tuner, make the intake stock. Then your 100% safe. Its not worth getting your warranty flagged and removed over something as small as the intake. |
