Sp after going to the cobb aggressive map, I had cylinder 5 misfire. I didn't do or change anything, I just wanted to see if it would happen again. Today went WOT and it happened again. I had my spark plugs changed 4k miles ago so I know it isn't that. I wanted Ian's video from Cobb and he said th enext thing is probably coil pack.

I did not sap the coil packs to test yet, but if it was the same cylinder that misfired both times then doesn't that mean it has to be the coil pack, considering that it definitely can't be the spark plug. I want to know for sure if this means its the coil pack before I go ahead and order one.

Swap your coil from cylinder 5 to cylinder 4. If it changes to a misfire to cylinder 4 it's your coil

Just buy coils man.. They're $35-38 a pop shipped...

If you only have a misfire on cylinder 5. I had a misfire on cylinder 6, shut my car off then it switched to cylinder 3. Your best bet is to buy 2 coils... you know you need to replace at least 1 and chances are you'll need to replace 2 or more. If not you will need to replace them eventually, for an inexpensive $38 it's worth it IMO.

Swap the coil and if it moves that is your issue. If not, injectors should be next in line of your troubleshooting.

Yeah I saw the video on youtube of cobb explaining this, but I figured since the misfire was on the same cylinder twice, it has to be the coil. If it is the injector, what does that mean? Also, I see coil packs going for 50, where do you guys get them for 35?

Just ordered a coil pack. Also will be ordering a fmic and will switch to cobb stage 1+ fmic map. Is it okay to switch to this map before getting the cylinder misfire fixed?

Fix the misfire before moving to more aggressive mapping.
