Can anybody here make -4AN fittings?

I need a custom -4AN fitting made....can anyone here do this? I would have "Devils Own do this but I think there communication is limited by storm damage.

Does it have to have a flex section? You could make it yourself from off the shelf parts if no, if you have an AN flare tool.

I guess, I actually I never looked for it that way...because 90 degree seems like a a sharper bend...but I guess it is not.

We can't physical make the line any shorter as it will not fit in the machine we use to crimp the ends.

Not sure but why are you not using our 90 deg nozzle holder? http://www.alcohol-injection.com/en/...le-holder.html

Are you needing something taller? Could use use a fitting simlar to the silver fitting that you have a nozzle in that is 1/8nptmale to 1/8npt female then what ever lenght you need if you need more height.

I love your nozzle holder but the fitting has to be at the exact position fit the line to fit then you can't tighten it and it gets a bit loose.

OK so all you need is a bit of pipe, a hand bender, an AN flare tool, and two -4 female fittings... done and done

or actually you might be able to find the whole assembly premade, thinking maybe Earl's, Pegasus Racing, Summit, Jeg's, Speedway Motors might have something?

If you were local to me there's a chain of hydraulics shops called Colliflower that could probably hook you up too if you don't want to DIY

With anything that is npt, what the nozzle ends are on both sides.

hand thread the nozzle into the nozzle holder. Then turn it 1/2 a turn with a wrench. Then thread the nozzle into your cold air pipe. Till its hand tight. You will need to turn it atleast 1/2 past this to seal it up. with a wrench. You can turn it more past that to get the clocking you need. Its not a big deal to take a npt threaded item and turn it another 1-2 turns more.

The silver fitting and the black fitting you have going into each other. You have them already to tight. All npt threads should only thread together about 1/2 way by hand then 1/2-1 turn with a wrench. Remember npt threads should have ptft sealent used. I don't recomend using tape, as it can clog the orface. So use pipe tape. But with the nozzles you should see about 1/2 the threads till. Npt is a tapered thread. It gets 1 deg closer with each thread. British Pipe thread. Will thread all the way together like pictured but they will usually have a o ring on the fittings to get a seal.

You should also look at your fittings going into the pump. you should see about 1/2 of the thread there and they should also have sealent on the threads. Remember the sealeant is not used on the jic side just the npt side. The newer pumps heads are nicer than the older shurflo pumps we all usta use. The newer pumps do handle having the fittings over tightened in them better. The older pumps would shurly be a goner if tightened to max depth.

Reason for the taper is ever time you take it apart and put it back together it should tighten farther down the fitting. Once it goes threw all the threads its considered a used fitting and should be replaced.

I agree, I t5hreded that fitting (was a SOB) so they where hand tight with a additional 1 turn. I only use thread paste (learned that from you LOL!!) on NPT fittings. the angle of the fitting and the rebound of the stainless kept loosening the nozzle.

Look into making your own rob and use the nylon hoses. I hate working with ss lines!

Thats why we use a 8" line between the solnoid or check vavle as the standard lenght so it's less likely of loosing the joint. Can always just tighten both sides another 1/2 turn so 1 full turn to keep your clocking.

To keep you from buying anything else. Take the silver fitting off the nozzle put our nozzle holder on it and have going up in the picture than take the 90 and attach it.
