Guys my friend just bought 1 series bmw and his aux not playing or showing on business radio. Aux socket is under arm rest. It's only coding or need to replace radio to get working?

If it's OE it shouldn't need anything to get it working so take it to BMW if it's still under warranty or try to check all the connections if it isn't

No warranty on his car. On menu is no option to choose aux. but is socket in arm rest.

What has he got plugged into the AUX socket?

Maybe the USB only shows up in a menu when the car sees something fitted to the port, I don't have one so can't help you there

I got same in my car but in my car radio display shows radio, dab, cd, aux, on his car not showing aux. no USB in our cars.
