just had eisenmann axleback race exhaust installed

it has more of a drone than I remember in barry b's car. has anyone else noticed this right after install?

well most drone at around 1800 as expected but also baseline drone when not accelerating.

I had the race on my M6 and got rid of it because of the drone. My buddy has the race on his M5 and sound wise its great. Very deep rumble and a nice sound during gear shifts. It was only during casual cruising when the car would be around the 1800-2200 rpm range that bugged me. If you drive in sport or better yet sport + you won't hear it at all. Also keep the shift points high and drive in D3. This is a race exhaust and designed for more aggressive driving.

You get used to it. I love drone. Plus whoever says that the drone from the F10 M5 is bad has no idea what drone is. This coming from my straightpiped E60 M5. Lol! If you ever go back to stock, you will wonder where the soul of the M5 went.

I agree on the Sport version and it does sound great but as far as drone is concerned in general I felt like it cheapened the car and was embarrassing when I had people in the car.. The car in my opinion and im talking about the M6 needed something more refined and for me the Akra fit the bill perfectly. When I added the gruppe M Intake it was the icing on the cake.

The sound will become more consistent after the break-in period (500-600 miles) That's why the system sounds louder than BarryB's M5.
