Not sure about that, but I heard that DIS is the one which can force a car to regnr. DPF.

Do not attempt to force regenerate. (don't want to see you keeping your record )

At the top I requested info for -
Status, regeneration, particulate Status, last regenration Status, last regenration, but one Status, third, last regenration Status, total remaining milege Exhaust, gas temp before particulate exhaust, gas pressure you can just about make it out in the top right of the pic. I am guessing going by that order Status, last regenration - 25088 miles Status, last regenration, but one - 8204 miles Status, third, last regenration - 24548 miles Status, total remaining milege - 84000 KM Isnt that too long between intervals for a dpf regen? i thought they were suppose to happen every 300 miles or so? Also 9,9mbar quite high for backpressure? |

My car has done 142,000 miles and the iDrive was forecasting a remaining DPF life of around 13,000 miles.
I was quite pleased therefore when I managed to get DIS up and running and ran a test on the DPF which checked and displayed the back-pressure at varying engine speeds. These are the results I got. I have also included the maximum back-pressure for each speed at which the test was carried out (this was also displayed by DIS): Engine Speed (RPM) === Measured Pressure === Maximum Allowed Pressure Idling === 6.9 === 65 2,000 === 22.9 === 150 Cutoff (Approx 4,400) === 78.9 === 250 On that basis I reset the iDrive service counter for the DPF and it has remained at 120,000 miles until replacement for the past 4 weeks. I will spend the money I had planned for DPF delete on something else.

The DIS regen figures are metres, not miles. I thought the same but I went for a drive and it goes down really quickly. Oddly tho, mine showed about -25000m. The more I drove, the number went down until it went past 0 and started to climb again...!

I would say the important data is the amount of blockage and at 9mb at idle that is good. Ive seen them at 70 and 6-700mb at 3000rpm.

Frobius - ahh that makes more sense now will need to work out m to miles conversion
Status, last regenration - 15.59 miles Status, last regenration, but one - 5.09 miles Status, third, last regenration - 15.25 miles Status, total remaining milege - 52 195 miles Woudl the regenration state a successfull regen or even if it had failed and just log the milege? |
