Need Polish / Wax / Sealant / Pads

I have the Griots Orbital and the small one as well.

I want to detail my G37 which is red (had quite a few swirls and scratches) and my X6 which is BSM with medium swirls.

What polish's, sealants, wax and etc I need. As well as pad's.

I have the Griot's Garage stuff that I used last time that really did not work too well in my eye's. It was cleaner but not as clean as I anticipated.

Please help me so hopefully I can order it tonight and have it by the weekend.

Check out chemical guys, all the products I've used from them are very user friendly, plus they ave a ton of videos of how to use each of the products they sell.

I have completely done away with all of my "other" car car products, I only use Chemical Guys now, even my microfibers are from them.

Garage List
2008 135i  [6.00]
1. Clean the car well, start with the wheels then rinse the car off thoroughly to get rid of loose contaminants. Follow up with a wash with the two bucket method and dry. I like chemical guys maxi suds for a wash and a plus if you have a foam gun.

2. Decontaminate the paint with Iron X or Iron cut. Follow up with a clay bar or Optimum Opti-Eraser or NanoSkin AutoScrub which work like a clay bar but so much easier.

3. Depending on the amount of correction you need you might need to compound if severe or just polish if minor. I use Meguiar's Ultimate compound followed up by their mirror glaze 7. Use the appropriate pads by Lake country or other brands to achieve desired results.

4. Finish it all off with a sealant or wax. A popular sealant is Blackfire Wet Diamond which is great, but I'm gonna try Optimum Opti-Seal as I like most of their products. You can add a pure Carnuba or polymer wax with no polishes in it to help give it more pop and protection, but they're usually pretty expensive.

You can't go wrong with any products form the forum sponsors on here so I'd PM any of them with you're goal, paint condition, budget, and your level of experience and I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help.

Guess since everyone says chemical guys and the local vendors are not chiming in, I will call chemical.

I feel like I can get all the stuff for about $200 or so.

A phone call to CG is a great idea, every time I've called them they are super helpful over the phone.

for compound, my weapon of choice is meguiars m105. the abbrasives are non diminishing. i follow up with m205 for polishing. the hexlogic pads are great, but i recently tried out chemical guy's microfiber pads and the results are marginally better. For pad size, go with 5" pads or 5.5" if you are just using a DA. as for the wax, i've heard great things about collinite 476s. it is a wax that has been proven to outlast most sealants and it is very affordable.

I'll be doing my car in a week or two. I'll be:
Washing, Clay barring with CG medium-duty, buffing out some light scratches with CG V38 finishing polish, hitting the car with 2 coats of Zaino Z2 sealant, and topping off with 2 coats of CG 5050 Concours carnuba wax. I'll maintain with Zaino Z6 spray detailer. I've got a long day coming up, LOL.

Also, I whole-heartedly recommend this: http://www.harborfreight.com/6-varia...her-69924.html and if your Googlefu is good you can find a 20% off coupon. I also ordered the CG hex logic 6.5" sampler pack.

Try Auto Detailing solutions or Car Pro US. They don't have a broad range of products but their prices and customers service is top notch. The Bouncer's Vanilla Ice is $60 when I got it and free shipping on orders over $75. For pads I suggest you get them from ADS since they got the Buff and Shine pads at amazing prices on those and a 15% coupon. I picked up 12 pks and 6pks for very cheap compared to all the other retailers.

+1 for the M105/M205 combo. I used the M105 on a Lake Country Orange pad and M205 on a Lake Country White. I'm going this combo when I detail the ride sometime in the next month.

I'm going to pick up on some Zaino products for my sealant since I've been reading a lot of rave reviews about its durability and shine. (3 coats of Z2-Pro w/ZFX, Zaino Z6, and Zaino Z8). I'm thinking of topping it with a carnauba like P21S 100% Carnauba Wax to give it additional depth.
