I really like the Hamann style front lip/splitter, but it seem every time I find one at a good price, it is for the pre LCI...I have heard they will fit the LCI, but am curious if any modifications are involved. If you have done it, please post and let me know what you had to do...drill different mounting holes or something else? Thanks in advance

That's what I'm planning to get for my '11 E91. Most the ones I've seen aren't pre-drilled, so you just line it up how you want, clamp it on, drill your holes, and bolt it up. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Not sure. Can't decide if I should pay JGMods or Mod Bargains $200 for a lip that I'm sure is the EXACT same one guys sell on Ebay for $100...

I don't think there are any predrilled ones for the LCI version...only pre LCI.

I decided to go a different route. I am going to do CF splitters then a flat Kerscher type lip that will go under the splitters. The splitters are scheduled to arrive today/tomorrow.

Although I like the Hamann style lip, I ended up wanting something a little different.

hmm yah, i cant decide between the splitters and the CF lips, the splitters stick out too much for my liking, and the lips, not enough pictures to tell if i really like them, the painted hamann lips looks a bit weird to me, the lines are just all over the places. CF looks better, maybe just coz u cant see much.

I agree about the painted Hamann lip. It blends too much. I like the CF better. The splitter I bought doesn't stick out as much as some I have seen or at least that is my perception.

I got my splitters today and I just held them up to the car and it is going to look really good when I get the Kerscher style lip under it, but will look good without too.

The Hamann style lip is made for the pre LCI, unless you are looking for something different.

Instead of getting it resrpayed, I bought the splitters to cover the area, then adding the other lip to make it look similar to the Hamann. I was afraid the Hamann wouldn't cover the area I needed covered.

Roll_The_Dice, yah, i know the hamman lips are made for the pre lci, but i really wish there is something like this for LCI. i have '10 as well.

Ah, I didn't even look at what year you had. I agree, I wish someone made one for the LCI.

I will take pics after just the splitters...should be next week some time. Maybe this weekend if I have time to put them on. I am finally getting my M tech rear bumper painted early next week. I may just let my paint/body guy install the splitters. My performance spoiler should be here at the end of this week too.

Thanks! Looks great! That is a good point about the CF...how noticeable is it? Can you take a close up pic showing the CF patterns not matching? Does it bug you or no big deal?

ooh no my splitters are actually painted haha i just seen it in person and it honestly depends on which vendor u get ur cf from but if ur lip is anything like mine and the splitters are somewhat legit then id say the only thing thats off is the weave facing different directions but definitely no bother :] cant wait for pics!

Oh yeah! I forgot you had painted splitters! HAHA I got my splitters from Ebay for $145 shipped. Not too bad. They look pretty good. I got them today and test fit them. Just need to jack up the car and get some double sided tape. They have the holes to attach to the front bumper, but it looks like I will still need double sided tape.

I just need to find the bottom lip at a good price. Everyone is sold out that I have contacted. They won't have them in until the beginning of August, they said.

I currently only have carbon fiber in my interior trim. When I am done modding, I will have splitters, front lip, performance spoiler, rear diffuser, and OEM mirror caps. I am putting real carbon fiber on the diffuser and OEM mirror caps right now. They should be done by Monday also...so the transformation will be all at once (minus the front lip). Can't wait!
