Coding out the 'bong'?

Can it be done?

Since my stereo upgrade the warning bong is ridiculously loud, even with the HU volume turned right down. I presume this is to do with the Cleansweep, but it's pretty annoying.

As there's a visual reminder too, I'm never going to miss anything. Is it possible to remove the audible warning using Autologic or similar?

I had this after some dealer work a few years back.

Even though bmw said "it can't be changed sir" you can adjust the bong.

Mute the audio, then do something to get the bong going,

While the bong is bonging adjust the volume with the usual volume knob.

Mine was the same after the upgrade but I reduced it to minimum on the iDrive bong volume & it's ok now

Nice one thanks for that.

No bong volume option on pre-LCI iDrive
