335i E93 Steering Wheel Chrome piece warped

Hey guys, so I noticed that the chrome piece on my steering wheel is warped or peeling off from the back. I stuck my hand in the opening and BAM! Cut my finger. Literally was bleeding all over my shirt. but now I know that part needs repairing/DIY fix. Any suggestions?

I guess I'm the only one with this issue? Noone else? Guess I have to get creative this weekend. First diy post this weekend? Maybe? Lol
