Tinting Quandary

I have been doing a mass amount of research on the forum regarding tint. I live in Houston Texas where its African Hot. Ceramic is what Ive boiled it down to because of the heat rejection. I was really looking at Huper Optik but dealers down here say it has a metallic to it not that they didnt recommend it. More that it might not suit my vehicle. Another aspect is the % I believe the car right now has 35% all the way around it is some calvin klien no name tint that isnt dark enough. So please guys help me out in your opinion in tint options and what percent you are running below is a picture of my car as it sits currently.

That looks exactly like what 35% should look like...at least in my experience. I have run 35% on all my previously tinted cars and it seems to be about that dark.

Here in MN you can only have 50%, so I run 35% so it does not look overly dark.

huber optic is full ceramic and not metallic at all. Usually FULL ceramic tints will not have dark %s. The lowest I've seen ceramic tint % is 35%.

Try Formula One Pinnacle series tints.
They are fully ceramic and range from 50% to 5%. I have 50% on the sides and 40% on the rear. Check my album for pictures.

Hüper Optik is a great tint, it's very durable and does an amazing job at reflecting heat. I would definitely get it. As far as it being metallic, it's not anything crazy but it does make the film darker then no name brands. I would recommend getting a 20-35% film depending on your preferences. I would also ask the shop to see some of the cars they've put the film on to get a feel for it and see if you like it.

Yes I have an AD of huper down here and will be going on Thursday. I am leaning towards 20 percent. The summers are brutal down here. Not to worried about cops.

Here's 35% Formula One Pinnacle (Ceramic). It's the darkest legal tint in VA.

I don't think the darker tint will make a huge difference with heat. Going from Pinnacle 35% to 15% gets you an increase in heat rejection from 50% rejection to 59%. UV protection is the same.

If the tint laws are strict in your area, I would recommend going 35% on your windshield which will make your tint significantly darker without attracting too much attention to yourself. I currently have 5% all around and 35% on the windshield which I love but I previously had 35% all around (windshield included) and it looked very clean.
