Handling "loose" after fitted Prolines. Alignment?
Hello chaps
On the weekend I fitted some Eibach Prolines to my car. 90% of the time the improvement is massive however now over rough roads or say going over a cat eye the rear feels "wobbly" is the only way to describe it. Now when we fitted them I inspected all bushes etc which looked good. Everythings done up and fitted as it should be so I am guessing it will because the alignment is now out? I am also very pleased with how it looks - |

Did you undo any of the rear inboard-end suspension arm bolts to fit the springs?
These are eccentric adjusters, if so did you mark their position and put them back in the same place? I suggest a proper 4 wheel alignment is needed for sure. |

It doesn't take much though.
As the angles are designed to change as the car compresses in bumps and turns, as its sitting lower the geometry will be in the part 'compressed' state, so it needs resetting at the new static ride height. |

Looks like his car is se ,any lowering springs need shorter dampers tbh. and 4 wheel alignment when they settle.

Yes it was a SE. The shocks are standard but looked in great condition with no sign of leaking. They looked new tbh.
I'm going to get the alignment done. I'm taking it to a make who can check it later and got it booked in for a pro alignment on Saturday. Its got to be related to something I've done as its only just started happening with the springs fitted. All bushes look fine etc. 90% of the time its fine. It just skips on bumps time to time. |

let car settle on springs and go do alignment, I know some people used shorter bump stops(m3 e36/ z4 ones) and it worked better but I still say se shocks are not designed for lowering springs. Have fun and good luck.
