Fix for my cracked UUC Motorwerks shift knob?
 My sweet shifter has developed a not-so-sweet crack...Can I sand/clear somehow? Epoxy? Fiberglass resin?

You can do all that but it's not going to make it any better. That's like trying to fix a crack in a piece of glass.. Not going to get rid of the crack in the plastic covering. Best to be looking for a new one!

Just an update, I removed my UUC knob (going to tinker with repairing it)
and ordered a knob that was NOT made for a BMW. The knob I ordered is the Razo RA65A 300g It is made for a threaded shifter but I wrapped my shifter with aluminum tape, and tapered it to the bottom so it fits very tightly. The weight does make a difference over my lighter knob, but I haven't gotten used to the feel yet. I ordered a 20mm bmw logo that should fit nicely in the cap.
