Vacuum Lines? Exhaust Valves?

Hey fellas, pardon my ignorance, but what do the vacuum lines do on the OEM exhaust? Do they somehow control the exhaust valves in the cans?

I'm looking for a way to keep the valves open all the time for a bit more sound and would love to be able to do this via coding if possible or some other 15 minute job that doesn't require me to cut open the cans.

Any insight you can provide would be appreciated!

Vacuum lines open the actuators on the exhaust. Once the cats are warmed up, the valves open. I am not 100% sure if they close again, but I am pretty sure they don't, and I am very certain they are always open when in M-mode.

If you want the valves opened all the time, no questions, you could pinch or plug the lines and force the valve open mechanically. Not sure that it will buy you much.

Thanks for the reply! If I plug the vacuum lines, will the valves stay open by themselves or would they need to be done separately?

Also, can anyone tell me what the vacuum lines look like and what the best way to plug them is?

I have a couple ideas, but it would be better to contact one of the tuners on the board to be absolutely sure, or, have them verify that you buy something in doing this

Garage List
Putting the car's poweretrain in Sport+ mode also opens the exhaust valves.
