Noise from engine wheel area

I just bought a 2008 BMW 335i sedan couple months ago. I have been hearing a noise in the front of the car whenever I come to a stop or put the it in reverse. Any thoughts?

That could not be any more vague.

What does the noise sound like? Is this when the car is hot or cold? We need more information.

brake pad shifting. lexus guys have to deal with this ALL the time on older GS models and new.

It sounds like a loud click coming from the engine when I come to a stop or reverse. It is a little hard to reproduce, but usually get it when the car has been running for awhile.
