Buying a used key fob?
Hey guys, I lost one of my fobs @ work earlier this month and I am on the look for a used key fob. I found these listings on eBay...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Used-BMW-E90...4bcb7b&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-3-BUTTON...0483ca&vxp=mtr Does anyone know much about using a used key and having it reprogrammed to your car? Is that possible at all? Do I need to go to the dealer or can I do this myself? The first listing also says 07+ and my is an 06...any thoughts on that? I searched the forums but didn't find much on the topic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've read even the ones on Ebay that are sold as replacement keys or refurbished will not work.
you have to go to the dealer |

Goto the dealer and have them make you a new one.

You can buy one of these on eBay but it might cost you around $900. You are better off going to the dealer unless you want to steal a BMW.
