Exclamation Question regarding Angel Eye headlights color

Hey guys...first post here at e90post...i am seriously interested in purchasing my e92 335i when i get my license back in November...i am coming from a 2008 350z HR (RIP). The question i had was regarding the angel eye headlights...i noticed that most BMW e9x's and M3's have the white color halo's but every once in awhile you see the blue'ish kodak'ish angel eyes...how do you know which ones come with the blue'ish color? are the blue'ish ones aftermarket? was it after a specific year? they r so crisp and clean looking its impossible that its aftermarket led angel eyes...has anyone got the correct info on this?

All the stock bulbs are the standard yellowish color. Any of those pure white or blue-ish ones you've seen are aftermarket. There is a massive aftermarket for these angel eye bulbs, and you have probably dozens to choose from at this point.

There are two main options. #1 is new bulbs. You can choose LED bulbs, standard bulbs, etc. Option #2 is installing new rings in the lights themselves. I went with option #2 because it's the brightest option. These are the ones I have:

Not so fast. Starting with MY2011, the base 3 Series E92 (i.e. not the M3s) got OEM white angel eyes. The bluish ones would indeed be aftermarket, but white might be OEM depending on model year. The M3s have retained the yellow angel eyes, which I actually prefer. I find the white ones pull too much focus so you fixate on them, as opposed to the yellow ones that I think just blend in with the rest of the car so you can focus on the overall styling of the car. Plus the yellows look more "organic" like the M3 is a beast as opposed to a cold cyborg. When you press the Unlock button when it's dark outside and those yellow angel eyes slowly fade up like the beast is waking up....

No No, you can stay seated and be corrected.

Im in agreement with the Amber giving the car a better look. Dont get me wrong the white ones look great, but the amber/yellow stands out more to me. There are exceptions to every rule. I want a deeper amber for mine, but I do like the LED ring replacements.
