How long does it take, once your car is done at the factory to be shipped to the port of exit? Anybody know?

It's pretty quick. On mine from completion to port was 2 days and then 4 days after that it was on a vessel in its way here.

Mine took 6 days from end of production to being at the port.

Getting to the port is very quick once production is completed. However my car has been waiting for a vessel the last 8 days.

There is actually a boat leaving the 16th that stops in brunswick but not NY, but i can't be greedy

So hoping i get the boat on the 19th or else i have to wait for the 26th for the next boat

If you miss the boat on the 19th there is also a boat on th 20th thats going from bremerhaven to NY but that one doesnt stop in Brunswick.

Right now it says my car is being assembled, what i hope that means is it's on the way to the port

FWIW-- my car finished production on 8/30 (a Thursday) and got to port on 9/1 (Saturday), so I would assume they transport on weekends since my car got to port on 9/1?

With 2013 production ramped up I'm sure there are longer delays at the port than the rest of the year. I dropped my ED off in Munich on 9/8 and it looks like I will be on the Topeka leaving on 9/19.

you should already have a VIN available, that becomes available very very early in production process.

I found out from the transportation company that handles ED vehicles. Since you're shipping directly after production your CA should be able to tell you once it is booked. Or once you get your VIN you can try putting it in on the WWL tracking site. It should show up in the next few days if you end up on the 9/19 ship.

Had a ETA of 9/14 for the production to complete. The 1-800 is now stating the car is waiting for carrier pickup. Anyone else in this status?

Yea, it just said my vehicle was released to a carried and awaiting transportation to the port. Let's hope they get our cars their by tuesday so maybe we can be on the boat on wednesday. Otherwise i will have to wait till the 26th

plug your vin number into bmwvin.com and let me know what day it says the car was produced.

when did your car complete production and what does the recorded message say?

Mine says its awaiting transportation to the port
