New to forum - hard to catagorize question

Hello all,

I'm new to the E90 forums. Currently driving my first BMW a 2007 328i sedan in Alpine White. Coming from a 2004 Honda Accord, 2005 Scion tC and 2000 Honda Civic in that order. Definitely an upgrade for me and happy to have such a great car.

That being said, I'm looking forward to contributing as much as I can here and learning as well.

I'd like to start with a question though, I'm not quite sure where to put this, so I figured I'd start here. I bought the car in June and since I've been driving it there is a strange almost buzzing sound that occurs inside the cabin whenever I turn the steering wheel to the left. The rate of speed doesn't matter and the condition of the road doesn't matter either. It almost sounds like a static buzz or something electronic near the door panel, but only when I turn left. It's driving me nuts to say the least. I can hear it over the radio and with the windows open.

Anyway, I'm hoping someone here can help me figure this out. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to respond.

Sounds like power steering. Check your fluid level

1st Check for leaks
2nd Change your PS fluid (use only what is labled on the PS Cap "CHF 11 S" Green Cap or "ATF Dexron III" Black Cap)
3rd properly bleed your PS system (Left to lock, right to lock..., Repeat once)
