Remove third brake light clip from e93???

Anyone know how to remove the third brake light from a damn e93? i got it all off but cant get the clip off! just short of braking the damn thing, or just cutting the wire from the car

pretty sure you just pull it straight out...its not a clip, its just a plug.....i think.
i swapped trunks and def didnt get stuck at that part,
