Hit in a parking lot

Hi guys,

Someone in a 2000 Camaro decided to cut through a parking lot and the end result was my car t-boning his. My drivers side headlight, wheel fender, bumper, and foglight have seen better days. We both have USAA and hopefully his side will come through with payments.

ANYWAYS how have people gotten their body shop to get the MTEC bumper instead of the stock one? (Service King collision repair) I have the Prelci E90.

That shouldn't be a problem. All they care about is getting paid and you are the vehicle to the insurance claim.

Your adjuster will give you or your collision center a check for the damage. Just tell the collision center that you will order the parts, then they give you the check and you pay the difference. Happens all the time.

You just have to pay the difference between the two bumpers.

You should go LCI M-Sport since pretty much all panels were damaged.

Front Bumper? Check.
Hood? Check.
Headlights? Check.
Front fenders? There should be a little damage, so Check.

like others have said, it shouldnt be a problem.

the only issue you may have it time, depending on where you live and how long it takes to ship that bumper, it could hold up your repairs.

the insurance company wont want to pay for your rental while the body shop is waiting on a custom bumper.

depends how fast the bodyshop and shipper move.

Thanks guys for the information! Although his insurance is paying for it hopefully I can throw some money to get the Mtec. Does anyone know how much more Mtec will cost.

Also do they order OEM headlights or do they find some off a wrecked car? Will the replace the one that is damaged or both?

What I'm trying to ask is will the bumper, hood and headlight be new? Or pulled off a rear ended E90?

They should be using new parts, unless the collision shop is running a nice little scam.
