8 year old rides in FBO 335i

I came across this video on Youtube so I thought you guys would enjoy it. I searched and couldn't find it here so I hope it's not a repost. The kid's reaction is priceless

The guy is a douche bag for driving like that with an eight-year-old in the car if you ask me. What if "Uncle Dean" took real good care of him and wrapped them both around a telephone pole?
The guy should be arrested for endangering the welfare of a child.

Yeah, the kid says about 10 times that he is scared. At one point he asks the adult to "go as fast as the (other) cars" and Uncle Douche continues to scare the kid by speeding around a heavily commercial area. The kid has better sense than the adult. I'd like to invite Uncle Dean to a day at work with me and record him shitting his pants for all the world to see on the interweb.

+1. Never drive faster than your passenger feels comfortable with. Especially if it's an 8 year old child. A car isn't a roller coaster, even the most experienced and competent drivers make mistakes. You can't predict what the traffic in front of you is going to do and there's always the chance of a mechanical failure.

Indeed!
It's okay brother, I was just glad to know you were alright man, all things considered. May you continue to drive in good health- we are all human, after all
Good to see all the good sense coming out in this thread- too bad for that poor kid- he'll probably be traumatized for life.

That's just messed up. I understand if the kid likes driving in fast cars but the driver was just being a douche imo.

... I'd like to know why there's an air freshener hanging right behind the passenger seat.

The uncle wasn't being an asshole. The kid was having fun, saying it was better than a roller coaster. You all need to lighten up and don't pull the child protective service card all the time. Hell, near where I live there are 10 year olds that grow up driving trucks on their farms for work. When I was 6 I was pushing 50 mph on my four wheeler with my dad on the back in a field by my house. Just lighten up and enjoy the kid's priceless reaction.

(See Red Bolded Qoute) Yeah not in a heavily residential/commercial area with lots of people! I'm all for spirited driving.. trust me but like.. this was unnecesary.. and LOL we prefer the videos of clueless hot girls sitting in the passenger seats of Lambos pushing a thousand whp

I got to agree with this guy! One of my good memories from a kid was when my uncle matt took me out in his brand new Acura Legend, I was probably around the same age as the kid in the video, I remember he got up to around 120 in my neighborhood, should he have done that, was it safe, or responsible, the answer is obviously a big no! However, people are people, sometimes in life everyone does some foolish things, and some times for me at least the foolish times make for the best memories, anyway I bet this kid will cherish that memory just like I do now....

That's not the point. I'm all for having fun with the family and etc. but if the kid is saying, slow down...you're going to fast...then wth?

That's similar to a memory of mine where my step dad lifted me up as a kid nearby a swimming pool when I was fully clothed in regular/street cloth and me telling him "Please don't throw me in there" and he laughed followed by throwing me into the pool. That was not a pleasant memory...

I agree with you that your story sounds messed up, like the all to typical Bully/step parent, and I agree with you that that's messed up- to do something in a bullying way to a child. But I just didn't read the video like that, I got more of the impression that the kid was pleasantly scared, like you would be at a haunted house for example, I didn't see deliberate malice, just poor judgement, which we all have displayed at one time or another...
