parked on incline got limp mode

It showed low oil, drove about 1 mile, parked it. About 2hrs latter it drove fine. Should I be worried?

Does the oil indicator now show adequate oil? If so, I'd just forget it.

It's probebly on the edge to be low...

I wouldn't worry about it! But expect to fill up in a while...

check the oil level when the car is on level ground and see what its at. it could possibly be low.

Pop the hood, look for dipstick.... keep looking for dipstick... Seriously BMW no dipstick? Go inside check oil from a sensor, hope that its right.

Rant:

One day I was driving my 545i on the thruway, it started smoking really bad pulled off the next exit, saw oil draining out the belly pan. Got it towed to my work/shop. Pushed it in and discovered I had lost 6 quarts out of 8! Never had a light come on. Fuck that sensor. End rant

Yes the oil level was fine on level ground, but it got me mad at the time. Im glad it is ok. thanks everyone
