If you have iDrive, go to vehicle information and check vehicle status. It will tell you exactly what is wrong with it.
It could be as simple as a bulb being out. Assuming you don't have iDrive, someone else will chime in....

Hi,
Looks like it's the warning that you are running on reserve fuel, as it appears you have 69 miles to empty. Regards. Last edited by Healey3000; 08-20-2012 at 05:11 PM.. |

I looked over your picture five or six times, but I don't see anything that would even remotely resemble a yield sign ( at least its American version). What on Earth are you talking about? Where's the yield sign?

I believe OP means the warning triangle with the exclamation mark. That's how I interpreted the post.

if it's the triangle you're referring to, it's probably time to fill up, or time to visit the dealer. If it's the arrow you're referring to, it indicates the side of the car that your gas tank is on.
Either way, I hope you don't misread yield signs on the road. The consequences can be catastrophic!

Probably because you are low on fuel. I get that sign when I turn DSC off as well (full traction off)

Yep, low fuel warning, running in reserve. Looks like very good consumption for the reserve warning to be showing, but 552 miles, is that your range on this tank of fuel! If so, wow!!

Okay, the caution sign means there is something in the vehicle check status that is amis. All you need to do (if you don't have i-drive) is scroll through the information menu with the turn signal stalk and find the vehicle check menu. Once there, it will tell you what the problem is. I does look like it is the low-fuel warning, however.

When you switch on the car, im not sure, it might show the problem in details as if its low fuel or low air pressure.
the warning triangle is there to remind you that there is something still pending. but it doesnt look like low fuel, my bet is on the low air pressure in the tires. |

Can a mod make a sticky thread for newbies with these kinds of questions? There's 10k questions about the obc warnings, chimes, dings, etc. no offense to the OP but a simple search here or even Google would've told you in - literally- 5 seconds. There's already some recent threads (today) about this so you wouldn't have even needed to search.
No trying to be mean or harsh, OP, but the search function will quickly become your best friend I haven't needed to ask any questions in new threads since I've been here (admittedly not that long) because I search and all my questions have already been asked and answered. Hope that helps ya |
