In your example, the customer would pay $500 over the invoice cost of the car that the dealership paid to get it. In other words, the dealer makes $500.

You can build your car on BMWConfig and see the Invoice Price. If you get a Vehicle Inquiry Report from your dealer, it will also show the Invoice Price.
