Tanzanite F31 M sport in order

I've mentioned my F31 in another thread (that one about the tanzanite blue color), but thought I'd post a new thread about it aswell - in case it might be interesting to someone else thinking about the specs or color, but also as therapy for myself waiting for it

I've been told it should be delivered sometime in September.

Pics from the configurator:

Specs:

BMW 328i Touring

* Tanzanite Blue
* Sport automatic gearbox
* M sport package
* Hexagon / Alcantara anthrazit
* PDC
* Cruise control
* Heated steering wheel
* Rails
* Some storage stuff
* Ambient light for door handles etc
* Rain sensor
* Towing ball (is that the word for it?)
* Xenon
* Navigation Professional
* BMW Apps
* Head up display
* Speed limit information
* Bluetooth / USB
* Internet
* Tinted windows
* 19" M 403

EDIT: Sorry, I guess this should have been in the "F30 3 Series Ordering / Pricing / Order Tracking Forum" category.

Congrats! Did it add any length to the production time?

Sure about September? The rest of us Swedes ordering F31 msport have all gotten week 40, in October. Official premiere September 22nd.

I think the color will be much nicer than EB2, if not, it will at least be very very unusual

You're right, October is more likely. I was told "probably September" when I ordered, but I now understand that was more of a guess

About the color, I was kind of hoping that it would be a bit lighter, but I believe it will look better irl than on pictures. I like the EB II aswell, but I think I'll fly a bit more "under the radar" with the Tanzanite blue.

Thanks! No, the color shouldn't add any length to the production time. At least that's the info I've gotten - hope it's correct.

Thank you also Needsdecaf and remmib

On all other BMW's I've ordered they have said that individual adds a couple of weeks on the production time. But since these "individual options" are in the price list already (and not custom) I am guessing they won't.

I see. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised if I'll have to wait because of it.

When I ordered my car I could add on further options until the car went into production. Originally I had gone for the EBII but when the Individual colours came out I switched my order to include the Tanzanite Blue exterior and Cashmere Beige interior.

As soon as I did this, my build was locked so no further changes could be made. Apparently this was due to the individual options needing extra time and if the build wasn't locked then they couldn't guarantee my slot and effectively I'd be at the back of the line with each change I then made.

Seeing as this was just over 2 weeks ago and it's still 2 weeks until they're planning to start the build the only advice I can give is to make sure you're set on your final spec before you add the individual options!

I was a bit disappointed at the time as there were a few options I was still thinking over but my mind was made up for me. The upside is I have a much more distinctive car at the cost of a few minor options

Not far from fully loaded That interior will be something extra.

Thanks, gerbs!
