This kit was meant for a car with xenons installed already. You will need many components to install incl. levelers, washers, wiring harness, footwell module, etc.

If you are converting from halogen, you can still get this kit to work without washers or the self levelling sensors.
The kit comes with the ballast, xenon, bulbs etc, so you are good there. What you will need to do is to do some slight modification with the wiring inside the headlight (tapping wires together). You will also need to be able to code your car (or find a coder near by) to tell the car that it is now running xenon lights (you will get errors and bulb flicker if you don't do this). He will also need to disable the self levelling sensors (if you don't want to install it) so you dont get a fault error code. That is how my setup is right now for a few year and they work great. |

yes, i dont want/care about the other functions working. As long as the headlights work along with the angel eyes w/o any errors im ok with that. would you guys happen to know if there's a DYI on it? or if you guys can share how you did it?
DESI4life10, do you mind sharing what what you did please? |

Just spoke with ECS rep and they said that the headlights come with d2s bulbs and no ballasts.
can I just buy HID kit from the link below and install them to the headlights to complete the hardware requirements for a retrofit? Or are there more parts needed? http://www.modmy3.com/bmw-e90/bmw-e9...anbus-kit.html |

The guy I spoke with on their instant messenger support didn seem to know what he was talking about though. at first he said bulbs weren't included, then he said they were. Then I asked what kind, he just kept saying the original kind. |

What do you say we both buy a set and help each other out Mapleridge is local with me and he has a set as well. He said he'd also like to figure it out with me. That makes at least 3 of us to figure out the wiring and installation. Even if 3 of us isn't enough I'm sure 3 of us working on it is enough to get a good thread/ tutorial going with input from everyone else. Let me know asap before the sale ends!

DESI4life10 has done this and will help us out too. He already helped 10 people on this forums and he's running with this set up for quite some time now. The wiring is the one i dont know what to do.
For coding, it wont be a problem for me since a have a local guy to do it and would be simple enough to do... i hope you have a local coder in your area... im more concerned about if the ballasts are included or not, it will cost 380 each and we will need two of those... http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-325..._All/ES172901/ so it will be $1402.76 total icluding two ballast and the headlight set. not such a good deal after all... |

Are these compatible with Active Headlamps? Like will these swap into all PRE LCI OEM HID cars that have adaptive headlamps ( plug in play ) no coding if you just want an amber delete?

^weekends over I'm back
That particular kit includes: Left and right bi-xenon headlight housingsXenon control modules are ballasts you can see them preinstalled in the below photo. Now since you're looking to do the conversion I'd suggest taking a lot at the kits BMW produces for the conversion, they can be viewed HERE. They are option specific and year specific. In red you'll see the points to watch out for, more info on what is needed with each kit is included when you open up the part. vtsng - you'll have to forgive my sales guys, they aren't all bimmer heads so sometimes it takes them a few tries to figure out exactly what you need. 3jello3 - shoot me a PM next time I'm usually around m-f 9ish to 5ish, it might take a touch longer waiting for me to respond but I usually have all the info you're looking avaible the first go round. |
