warranty over - time to tune
can't believe its been 4 years - have done search on tuning but i got a headache
what is a safe tune that won't break the car and does not require other mods like exhaust etc - not looking to track - just extra power esp lower end of torque - don't want lag car is lowered on KW v1 as seen in this old thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=390812 thanks in advance

The easiest to run is Cobb. I had JB4 before but I sold it for my Cobb AP. I love it since I can just plug it into the OBDII port and change the maps if need be. Quite a bit more than JB4 but the convenience was worth it.

for you it sounds like cobb is the way to go.. easy install, just plug it into the port from drivers seat. no need to get under the hood or anything like the jb4.

I've tuned many 335's, 335iS's, X6M's and 135's but not many for people here, most are sent by service advisors at the dealerships.

thanks guys - cobb got power/torque gains without the lag/limp?
what about flashes? MarkD can you elaborate about your tune - not sure why dealerships would send you cars to tune - they gain nothing and could potentially make them liable

3 years ago I had an 07 335i with a JB3.. thought it was fantastic at the time (map5 was my favorite) even though the install wasn't the easiest. Sold the car since and currently drive a modded E46 M3. Recently bought my wife an 07 E93 335i convertible and installed a MarkD (OBD2) remap on it (recommended by fellow racers at the track). This map is unbelievable! I really notice how throttle response is exactly like the factory map from BMW (my old JB3 had a noticeable difference in throttle "crispness" than stock). No check engine lights (even tracked it several times since) and our dyno results before/aft showed an honest 58whp & 71wtq. Everything else on the car is stock (no intakes, dv, ic, dp etc) The best part is he's local (lives around the Danforth) so service is unbeatable. His pricing was cheaper than all the others too. Definitely recommend. From what I undestand, he gets the software from the same guy Evolve does. Email/Call him for details. (416) 553-8328 mark.dsylva@gmail.com
