Have you ordered blind or do the dealers have some literature now?
Any idea on how the F30 M-sports ride compared to the e9x? We're you advised to go for the trick suspension or did you just fancy ticking the box? Have you gone with leather or the alcantara interior? Great to see they've managed to cram the HUD in the 3er dash - I always liked that feature on our fleet 535. What's the dealio with M-sport uograde brakes? How much of an upgrade are they? Expensive option? I'm guessing they'll be similar to te "performance" stuff that was available for the e90 as retro fit?

By the way - Estoril blue?
Well done, Sir. That would be my colour of choice if I were ordering one tomorrow. We're you tempted with the 19" wheel option?

Must be one of the first orders, congratulations and I would also choose the same colour. I saw the performance brakes with the blue calipers on a 125i M sport not sure if they are 4 pots but they looked good.
Did you look at the 328i Petrol? If you don't do mega miles it could be a good option for performance, economy blend?

Nice spec you've ordered .
Do you know if the sport auto box is similar to the DCT, I know it's 8 speed and has the paddles but that's about it. Can you double shift like DCT ? |

Sounds like a lovely motor youve ordered pal. I took delivery of our 116i m sport last week in estoril. It really is the best colour available!

I really do fancy an Estoril Blue BMW in the future and if I ordered a new spanker, I'd opt to pick it up direct from the Factory in Germany if you could.

Thanks for all your posts and here is some possible answers:-
1) The dealer had nothing on paper other than whats on page 52 etc of the brochure. They just had prices on their configurator. 2) the ride; just assumed the ride will be equal or better than my E90 m-sport, which is better than my old 55 reg E90 SE. 2) the adaptive M sport suspension from 'write-ups', is a must have. 3) the 'M sport braking system', (£570) was told it was 4 pot, painted blue, with undrilled discs. Dont think its the same as the 'performance brakes'. 4) the auto box, dont know if its similar to DCT.They just said it had a sport fuction when changing and worth having for the 'small' extra cost. 5) did look at a 328i, as I don't do meggar miles, but the 320D has a bit higher torque figure which could be better for general urban use, like nipping between traffic lights and down slip roads! My current 320D always shows 40.9 mpg, which makes me happy! 6) leather is a part of the M-sport deal. Dont think alcantara, which I find very comfortable, is an option for M-Sport. Went for black, with ali hex dash and blue finisher ( a concession for the wife, she loved it!) I quite like it. 7) was not tempted by the 19" wheels as I thought other extras were possibly more useful and the overall price was mounting (it did mount)! 8) much looking forward to the HUD with the speed limit display which should be an aid to keeping the points down on unknown B' class roads! Much looking forward to taking delivery in Sept and the first drive. This motor, without a doubt, will be the most 'interesting' I have ever driven and parked! It's just the waiting! Cheers! |
