Suggestions for Custom Plastic/Rubber Floor Mats?
Anyone suggest an online retailer that provides custom plastic or rubber floor mats to fit over my carpet mats? I had a pair of clear plastic I bought from Kragen's or something - for 8 years - and they finally yellowed a bit so I tossed them. I want to protect the carpet. Thanks!

BMW sells the rubber ones (all-weather and pretty thick) that fit perfect...they only $50 bucks or so. Here's a link to E90 front and rear mats, I know you got 1999 328i but just to give you and idea what they look like. Scroll down a little.

Some dealers sell Exact Mats if this is what you are looking for. www.exactmats.com . Otherwise, I would go with the BMW weather ones.

Interesting. I called a local dealer (East Bay BMW in Pleasanton), and the parts guy said they had no rubber mats. ?? I do want them to be clear, so these ExactMats may be the answer. I appreciate your input, guys. Thanks!

You're welcome! I can confirm the mats are good quality mats and all the fitments I have seen for them on Lexus' have been exceptional. They are thick and the grips don't really allow them to slide off your stock mats at all. Glad I could help.

I have clear mats over the mats that came with my vehicle. I take em off during the summer. But during the winter they go back on.
They are just random ones i purchased at AutoZone or something. Cut them to fit.

I think it depends on the quality of the mats. With mats custom-made for your vehicle, you are guaranteed of a proper, good looking fit. Even the cheapo mats I bought at Kragen or something, lasted at least 5 years before showing any yellowing. If the mats I just purchased last that long (and I expect them to), I'm a happy guy!
