Quick oil question...Royal Purple 5w30

I have a chance to buy Royal Purple 5w30 oil for a great deal from a friend. He bought 2 cases a while back and doesn't need it anymore. I would change the oil every 3000-5000 miles anyway just to be safe. Would this oil be safe for our motors, thanks.

BMW manual recommends full synthetic, 5w30 or 5w40. Although they recommend 'their' own brand.

Royal Purple is the shiznit. Been using their gear oil in my truck diffs for years. So I use their motor oil too.

It's the shiznit, I'm sold!

Has anybody tried this oil? I have been looking and haven't been able to find it. It is LL-04.

So Royal Purple is BWM LL approved? Don't think so. Search the DIY forum to find out which oils are approved.

Isn't that the stuff that Shiv used in the race car in Australia? And that was far and away the best in the oil test that someone posted?
