Help Needed for Upgrade
Hi All
I own a 335i Coupe '07 with Base / Stereo audio system. That means 6 speakers. 2 Mids in front, 2 in Back and 2 subs under seats. My car was equipped with BMW Professional Radio. A month ago i retrofitted my car with CiC iDrive Business from Bimmerretrofit. Now i want to upgrade my sound system. What i want is to change all the speakers in my car (with better ones) and add 2 front tweeters and an AMP. Since all this reading about DSP, Crossover, Equalizers, Clean signals has got me a headache so far, and since I WILL be doing the retrofit i need some advice (experts are welcomed) on what to choose considering that i want the less wiring/alteration of my current system (OEM style) but with maximum (as possible) performance. THX

I had the same audio configuration as you do in your car. I would check out the packages that MusicarNW.com (VP Electricity) has to offer.
These are pre-packaged solutions that do what you need. I just installed one of these myself, and the sound has been far more than I expected. |

Is that Athens Greece or some other Athens?
This is the thread you should read.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 If you truly have the base system(as defined by the above thread) then you need to recode the radio for a flat frequency response or add a flattening device such as a JL audio clean sweep or other processor(processor amp). As stated in the last response MusicarNW can provide a one stop shopping solution with known to work configurations. Last edited by ctuna; 04-12-2012 at 11:21 PM.. |

It's Athens Greece
Thx for the replies. I've already read that thread BUT still haven't got a clue of what to do. I guess i'll contact VP Electricity for more clarifications.

Vp can give you a tailored system
I don't know how hard it is to get it across the pond .
I have noticed that electronics gets taxed pretty heavily going to England. The good thing about his kits is its all you need in one package and he gives you technical support. If you visit the Musicar website they lay things out pretty well now. Last edited by ctuna; 04-12-2012 at 11:22 PM.. |
