Automatic Audio Leveling

Ive searched to see if anyone else has this issue. When I am driving the radio volume increases to a point where its distortated and was wondering if there is a way to turn that feature off? Ive also looked in the manual and do not see anything.

I believe it is called speed compensation, or something with speed in its name, so search for that in your manual. Will likely be in the audio adjustment type section. My 06 e91 with idrive has this feature and it can adjusted in the same menu as the fade/balance/bass/treble. So if you do not have I drive, the first thing I would do is look around in that audio adjustment.t section that allows you to change the fade etc.

Look up "speed volume" in your manual. It's kind of sketchy the way it's worded, but after you find it in your settings, set it to a lower number and it won't go up as loud.

I thought every car with a radio had a "fader". I can not say 100% for sure because I always get idrive and upgraded sound, but a fader and balance has to be there somewhere in the settings. look in your book again when you're looking up the speed volume. Good luck!

Sorry I wasnt clear. I have the fader and balance but what I meant to say is that there isnt any other option in there but those two.

There should be but you need to go right at the page with bass treble fader then balance
Then you get s-vol and gong

Yep...go to balance and fade page and press the far right button under the screen with the little reach around arrow displayed.
