Question on invoice price

Hi Guys!

I was looking to order a new X3, and thought I ask about general bmw pricing practice.

my dealer quoted me 1000+ over invoice, but when I got the quote, it had invoice for all car stuff, +600 for region fee/training fee(??) + 1000.

Sales guy told me that +600 is part of invoice price for the car..

But when I ordered my 325 few years back, I don't remember this. Is this accepted practice?

Yeah, sounds about right... When I ordered my F30 I was hit with some new fees (e.g. training fee) that I had not seen before... My CA said that every dealer in the state will charge the exact same thing...

Highly dependent on where you are located. I wasn't charged that fee on my order here in Big D.

It's MACO and Training/Service Fee. MACO is a fee that the dealership pays to BMWNA for advertising. Not all dealerships participate in that so not all charge it. It is $400. Training/Service Fee is $180. It's my understanding every dealership pays that fee for cars that are US delivery. Neither of these fees are charged if you do European Delivery.

I guess in some cases maybe dealerships hide the Training/Service fee in their Doc Fee which is why sometimes you dont see it.
