Anyone running Meth have a cracked windshield filler neck?

It looks like mine is cracked due to the heat of the turbocharger. Any of you guys running meth have this problem? I've been looking at running meth, but I'm a big concerned now to be truthful. I might make another tank.

No cracks here. Only been running meth for a couple of months though. If I was out of warranty I would def go trunk mount so I could go 100% meth.

Except many sanctioning bodies at road courses require there to be a firewall between the passenger compartment and any container with gasoline or meth (unless a fuel cell is used).

This piece is falling apart. I think it also has a crack down low, since the fluid light will randomly come on without even using it. If your running meth, I would seriously take a look at it. I think i'm going to put a fuel cell in the rear and do it that way.

Switching mine to rear as well, just too close to the heat source. Problem is if you do get a leak with WW tank you are probably going to flame out, depending on % of meth but most are running higher than 50-50.

You would think the 50/50 would still be flammable if it got too hot and evaporated the water. Who knows. I'm just going to play it safe.

Yep. Meth vs hot turbos = Very, very bad combination.
Ask me how I know... (not my car though)

And don't forget the problems with boiling meth vs WW meth kits which a lot of people have had problems with recently.

The windshield washer reservoir is not safe on this car, period. 50/50 mix or not everyone is at high risk. There is also the risk of the cap popping off, or leak from other areas of that reservoir.

I'll be adding some universal parts so you guys can add trunk mount tanks, extra tubing, solenoids and check valves for those that want to upgrade to the trunk kits.

Keep us posted, I am interested. Do you think the solenoid is necessary? I was thinking check valve was enough. If we do use a solenoid I suppose mounting near the tank would stop nuisance leaks between the tank and pump.
Dammit I sold my trunk mount tank.

Hey Michael I had a similar problem on my car but not bc meth..mine was cracked in the same spot when I first bought my car...I got the car used and the previous owner did not do any mods...(all OEM)

I replaced the goose neck already...but still have some leaks in the WW system somewhere and don't really trust is for meth...Probabaly will end up doing a trunk mount for more reliablility..

I like the solenoid, but keep the solenoid within 12 inches of the nozzles. Nothing should be leaking if done correctly.

Reliability is one thing but safety is key here. There are a few guys who've had fires from possibly the result off WW leaking and such.

I didnt know there have been fires, but it does not surprise me. meth in the trunk is the only way to go and even then i'm leaning towards putting in a cheap fuel cell for mine in the spare tire well.

They are more susceptible on this car because the WW reservoir is right next to the turbo's and exhaust. It's by far the dumbest location to put meth but it takes a few mishaps before people realize it sometimes.

You were selling the WW kit? I have never heard you talk bad about it.

Well we all sell them.
There is no doubt it works for performance but after a few incidents recently I've now changed my mind and they are not worth the risk.
