Sounds like a beast, but does it run like a beast.
I would assume you need to tune to have the car run properly with all that back pressure. Map 5 on JB4? I'd be interested to see dyno #'s with that set-up. |

I disconnected the catless DP's to where the exhaust bolts up to them.
Torque monster with them opened.... Just hooked the full exhaust back up its so quiet LOL !!! I cant believe nobody on here has done this!?!?! People run open downpipes all the time on turbo cars..... |

I've done the same and it sounds like ass inside the car and there were absolutely no power gains from it. I think the louder sound just made you feel like you were going faster.

Yea that def sounds pretty damn good to be honest. I wonder what kind of effect it has on the turbos/motor... I know for a fact that the less backpressure the more air that can be inducted into the intake therefore making it easier for the turbos to spool and less stress on them as well because more air and no back pressure... Thats just logical to me if I really think about it.. But yes, I bet its WAY to loud in the cabin lol.

I actually did some 0-130 runs in that configuration.
I was driving around on straight downpipes for a few days. It was so loud it distorted the camera mic, and rattle coins in the car. The car seemed to lose low end torque.

I used to run my car like that all the. It sounded very different than yours though. I wish I would have gotten a sound clip from the outside. I only have in-cabin clips.
